Flex 3 - I’m gushing.

By keif | May 6, 2008

The fact that I wrapped up flex training has nothing to do with this, I swear ;)

Verizon just unleashed a new flex application for selling ring backs and ring tones.

Are you serious? This is incredible! A big-name company releasing an application built on a new technology! I wish other companies did this to show how “in tune” and “hip” they are. I use “hip” in a loose term, as I do with all ‘web 2.0′ and ‘cool’ terms, since they’re thrown so lightly as it is. But when a big company embraces the risque hip and new, that’s freaking awesome.
Congrats, Verizon!

I think HP released some big flex app last year - Print Studio, I think it was called?

Seriously, though, there are some really cool flex apps. I stumbled upon picnik when I was in flex training last fall, and I thought it was a great example! (I had two guys from Chase Mortgage in my class, so Chase is obviously moving that way as well, and Lexis was looking at some flex pieces)
